CBS RADIO, CITADEL TOP ANDO RATINGS.

Ando Media webcast ratings show CBS Radio had the largest average number of simultaneous streams in September, with 175,261 users.  Citadel had the highest average time spent listening: three hours, 33 minutes.  The ratings were the first released by Ando Media since last spring as the company made revisions to its methodology.

Ando Media CEO Robert Maccini says, "The changes were made in response to requests from both the publisher and the agency community for measurement standards in keeping with other digital best practices. Terrestrial radio AQH and Cume measurements are not the best metrics for measuring today’s audience delivered via a digital channel and do not accurately pertain to online audio."

Ando is now in discussions with the Media Rating Council for accreditation, and believes this new “one-minute minimum” calculation is more in keeping with MRC standards.

They top the ratings books because they are their largest clients. That is kind of a statistical no brainer. Although I wish them the best of luck as I think streaming is the better media over HD. And they are making a wise choice with their ventures.
